The lake is in the center of Belgrade. It is unique for its location and for this kind of sport. It is situated just 5km away from downtown, 15 min. by car from airport, 5km from railroad station, 5km from luxurious hotels “Hyatt Regency”, “Intercontinental”and ,,Belgrade arena,,.

The lake is shaped like grain of bean, with approximate area of 6 hectares. Average depth of lake is 2m and artificial dam divides it in two parts.The first part of 3,2 hectares have arranged shoreline with 30 fishing spots and is stocked with cardinal fish. It is surrounded by forest and it provides ideal conditions for sport fishing. The bottom is muddy and there are three cane islands as well as some fallen trees in the water. Those are places where carp likes to dwell. Other part of lake is reserved for nature lovers: wilderness, shoreline overrun by bamboo, water filled with grass and wicker. Larger fish is almost impossible to take out of water but smaller fish is easy to catch. Here you can catch a fish up to 6 kilos.

Restaurant “Relax”

Restaurant “Relax” was built in autumn of 2004. With its architecture, interior, exterior and also a dish, drink and music selection, we try to retain the idyll of old Serbian household. Every piece of furniture which complets the interior was extensively and carefully selected, starting from an old wardrobe located at entrance which dates back from 1925 through bayonet and horn from I world war. There are also other valuable and old assets.

We have acquired terracotta plates and dishes from which we serve and prepare food: lamb, beef, beans, soup. Some wine selection are wines from Negotin and rare wine” Tamnjanika”. Music is usually of ethnic origin.

Considering not so spacious area and wood, household and smell of antiquity is easily transformed into pleasant atmosphere which is suitable for group celebrations with rich meal and food selection. 4 swans, ducks and geese are always around to keep you company. There are also pheasants, two pawns, rabbits and goats..

Happy Hostel is located in Kralja MIlutina street no. 28, at the corner with Nemanjina street, on the Slavija square, which is the absolute cultural nucleus of Belgrade.
